Luther Place in Rwanda

Greetings from the Rwanda team, and especially from Marjorie and Dale who are posting this update.
Saturday has been at a somewhat slower pace than our previous twelve hour days. This morning most of us went to a women's sewing cooperative, where they teach women the skills of sewing and business management. People from the group bought many colorful items such as wall hanging, aprons and table linens. Then a small group of bird nerds (including us) spent several hours trying to identify the unique birds of Africa, with considerable success....they are beautiful and we see new ones faster than we can identify them. The remainder of the group went to a FESPAD concert of folk music at the stadium.
Tomorrow it is worship at the Lutheran "Cathedral" with the Bishop. We will be presenting the plaque for our sister congregation in Kirehe (Pastor Magubo's parish) where we laid bricks for two days earlier in the week.
Great news. All of the bags have arrived except a general content duffel bag which is still enjoying its journey.
Thanks for the love and prayers of all.her Place in Rwanda

Dear Friends in Rwanda - so good to read the blog notes from Dale and Marjorie. For my children's sermon today I brought two bricks and told them what you have been doing. We spoke each of your names aloud, with the congregation responding "Present" as we called you forth into our shared prayer presence. I remember an earlier entry that called the safari portion of your trip into question, and I am wondering what your plans are for this week. We remain linking closely with you in love and prayer. Hello wonderful Luther Place friends - we miss you and love you as you are giving and receiving a Gospel message of mercy in Rwanda. I will be thinking of you as you have your workday on Monday and prepare for your possible safari. God bless you all .... Olivia, Parish Administrator

Chuck Solem asks if there is a way he can help financially to make the safari possible. Let us know, if possible!
